After visiting Nawlins, I now know why people call it the Big Easy. Actually I don’t, but I do know Bourbon Street is something everyone should experience except for little kids. Even though Stephen wanted to hang out on Bourbon Street the whole time, we had many other areas of interest on our agenda to see for the few days we were here. For all you Jimmy Buffett fans out there, there’s nothing like going to a Margaritaville in a city where music is everything. We also went to take a look at a few plantations where slaves use to work for their plantation owners. I could definitely see myself living in one of those some day with Carson, Ashley, and Stephen being my slaves. Café du Monde was a big hit. Who doesn’t like deep fried doughnuts smothered in powdered sugar. By the time Carson was done eating, his face was covered in powdered sugar and he looked like Casper the Ghost. Not really, but try picturing that if you can. A steamboat tour on the Mighty Mississippi was just what we needed to relax and learn about the city and river. Our stop in New Orleans wouldn’t have been complete without driving around the lower ninth ward to see the damage Hurricane Katrina did a couple of years ago. It was sad to see whole neighborhoods still abandoned because every house was destroyed. Makes you wonder if the city will ever get back to the way it once was. I can’t end this story without telling you what we did on the fourth of July. For starters, we thought it would be nice to visit the World War II Museum. It was full of information that schools never taught us. Somehow my wallet fell out of my man purse while we were there. Good thing I was the only Asian in the museum at the time. It made it easy for the security guard to find me. We had a nice dinner, watched the firework show, and proceeded to Bourbon St. Stephen and I decided to buy some beads just in case girls wanted to be friendly with us. We lucked out and got to keep all of our beads for souvenirs, but the story doesn’t end there. We walked around for a while when Stephen had to go pee. So we walked into this random bar and decided to hang out there. Little did we know the guy singing was the same person we saw earlier walking around, but this dude wasn’t the average Joe, this guy had the coolest mullet I’ve ever seen. He knew how to party and so did this old couple in the middle of the dance floor. This wasn’t jumping up and down dancing if you know what I mean. We couldn’t have left Bourbon St. without seeing any boobs so Ashley flashed us. Just kidding, fortunately we saw someone who worked at the same bar flash a couple of guys and everyone slept well that night.

You've called down the thunder, well now you've got it!
